Hello! Since I wrote last I traveled all around Asia and had a great time pretty much every day. I keep saying I'm going to post travel photos from the trip, but since I haven't so far, I'm probably not going to. What I do post, you'll be able to find at kb.exposure.co.
I left my job at Twilio and am starting a new venture, Twenty Milliseconds. The goal of the site is to do for virtual reality what Jakob Nielsen did for websites and tablets - become the go to resource for learning what works and what doesn't in virtual reality interface design. If it doesn't work out, I'll have learned a lot about a pretty cool area. I've learned so far that simulator sickness is a big problem and game developers test their games much more than web developers do.
You can try out the device for yourself! I really wish they didn't use the term "virtual reality" and make the headsets so ugly because they tend to scare people off what can be a really cool experience. Sign up here and I will show you some of the cool things that are possible with VR.
I'm now back in SF, and moving to the Marina next month. If you're around, let's catch up for a coffee or a drink.
