  • T: At a certain point, it’s worth the investment. C: Precisely. It’s worth your money to get your time back. While I was taking that guy’s classes, he spent the semester driving around the country, spending at least two nights in all 48 continental states. That’s a much better use of your time than four anthro classes. And I was happy to help him do it. Most the paper assignments I get are: read these articles, regurgitate them, quote them, tell me what it’s all about. If you’re not interested in those articles, what are you going to learn from doing that? Nothing! I almost never get an assignment where I think, “Oh, interesting paper topic.” Never happens, with few exceptions.

  • Sixty-six percent of those who mentioned Medicaid-CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program) were denied appointments, compared with 11 percent who said they had private insurance, according to an article being published Thursday in The New England Journal of Medicine. In 89 clinics that accepted both kinds of patients, the waiting time for callers who said they had Medicaid was an average of 22 days longer.
